Mahogany & rosewood Georgian tea table C1830 - 8097

A superb example of a mahogany Georgian tea table with rosewood crossbanding. Has a rectagonal solid mahogany top which swivels on its axis to double in size and reveal a small storage compartment with its original lining. The piece has a beautifully scrolled, carved frieze and sits above a bulbous pedestal with circular base and ends with 3 scrolled lions feet which is typical of the era. The original small brass castors are under each lions paw. Dated C1830 this table is in excellent condition with beautiful patination. The full dimensions are below. When the table is open the dimensions are 92cm x 92cm.
